IFFM Director Mitu Bhowmick Lange said: “This year’s IFFM Award nominees reflect the strength and diversity of contemporary Indian film culture. A jury panel of Indian and Australian film legends and experts including filmmaker Fred Schepisi, editor Jill Bilcock, screen star Vince Colosimo, actor and producer Victoria Hill, and leading Indian critic Rajeev Masand will honour winners in five categories. The Festival is delighted to reveal the nominees for the 2019 IFFM Awards – the first and most prestigious Indian cinema awards of their kind in Australia. Celebrating its tenth anniversary in 2019, the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne is thrilled to announce the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) Awards, a red-carpet gala event on August 8 th celebrating the best of Indian cinema and featuring the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra paying musical tribute to very special Festival Guest Shah Rukh Khan.
